Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Massachusetts Selects Acadia as Official Commercial Insurance Provider
Statewide association serves approximately 700 construction members
WESTBROOK, Maine (June 8, 2017) – Effective July 1, 2017, Acadia Insurance, a Berkley Company®, will become the official carrier of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Massachusetts (HBRAMA) and underwrite coverage for participating members of the association and its affiliates serving five chapters and approximately 700 construction members statewide. Acadia is well-versed in this class of business as they currently write more than $16 million in premiums as the official carrier of the Connecticut, New Hampshire and Vermont Home Builders and Remodelers Associations.
“We are thrilled for an opportunity to work alongside Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Massachusetts, a professional organization dedicated to increasing value for its members,” said Sharon L. Pontes, CRIS, regional vice president and branch manager, Acadia Insurance. “Our mutual commitment to the building industry, and combination of service and expertise, will ensure we satisfy the commercial insurance needs of participating association members.”
“Acadia’s long history of working with the New England building industry enables it to provide small businesses with competitive rates and a deep understanding of the insurance coverage required to be successful,” said Scott Colwell, president, Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Massachusetts. “This is a tremendous added benefit for members of our association, and we look forward to working closely with Acadia to solve their insurance needs.”
Tom Messier, vice president of construction industry services at the Mason & Mason Insurance Agency, Inc., is the sponsoring agent instrumental in developing this relationship. He and a panel of experienced members from various insurance agencies conducted reviews of insurance companies across the state – ultimately recommending Acadia to HBRAMA.
“We are confident that this partnership will develop a comprehensive property and liability program catered to the unique needs of home builders and remodelers across the state,” said Messier. “Members of the association, including local agents, can look to Acadia for ideal, cost-effective insurance solutions.”
This program is open to all Acadia appointed agents.
