Acadia Insurance Expanding Insurance Offering for Contractors
Includes increase in pollution coverage and new coverage enhancements for specialty trade contractors
WESTBROOK, Maine (August 15, 2016) – Acadia Insurance, a W. R. Berkley Company®, plans to expand and enhance its construction insurance program effective October 1, 2016. Enhancements will include expanded pollution coverage capability and a new general liability enhancement endorsement designed specifically for specialty trade contractors.
Site pollution liability coverage can be increased up to $1 million for contractors located in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. These new limit options are expected to be available beginning on October 1st for both new and renewal business.
Closer Coverage for Specialty Trade Contractors
The new contractor’s enhancement endorsement has been designed specifically for specialty trade contractors and includes:
- Extended property damage - $5,000 per occurrence / $15,000 aggregate
- Property damage to borrowed equipment up to $15,000
- Limited contractors professional liability coverage
This form is planned to be available to eligible new and existing middle market clients beginning on October 1st at policy renewal or included in a new policy.
