Acadia Insurance Delivers Maine Artisan-crafted Grandfather Clock to Local Agency
Chalmers Insurance Agency reaches $5 million milestone with Acadia
WESTBROOK, Maine (June 7, 2011) – Acadia Insurance recently commemorated Bridgton-based Chalmers Insurance Group for writing more than $5 million in premium with the company. To celebrate this milestone, Acadia commissioned a handcrafted, artisan grandfather clock and delivered it to the Chalmers’ office on May 18, 2011.
“This clock is a symbol of our gratitude and congratulations to the Chalmers Insurance Group for reaching this milestone and being so successful in executing its quality camp, sports and community programs that contribute so much to the people of Bridgton and the entire region,” said William M. Rohde, Jr., President, Acadia Insurance. “At Acadia, we pride ourselves on being a community-driven organization, and with such paralleled values, we recognize that the Chalmers Group is a major resource in Bridgton as it steadfastly supports the local community.”
“Receiving this clock represents the wonderful relationship shared by Acadia and Chalmers as we continue to provide services needed throughout Maine,” said Bill Chalmers, General Manager & Treasurer, Chalmers Insurance Group. “Acadia also has tremendous underwriting, loss control and claims, and we’ve found that many carriers talk the talk but can’t walk the walk. Acadia provides services and backs it up with expertise.”
The delivery of the unique grandfather clock created by local Portland artist, Jamie Johnston, serves as recognition to the Chalmers Insurance Group for their excellence and to acknowledge their long-term commitment to Acadia Insurance, their customers and the local community. Since being founded more than 150 years ago, the Chalmers Group has grown to be one of the largest insurance agencies in Northern New England.
Acadia implemented the clock incentive program in 1992 and the Chalmers Insurance Group is the 29th agency to receive a grandfather clock. Acadia also delivers handcrafted chairs to those agencies that reach $1 million in written premium.
